Aakriti Bikash Kumar

Aakriti Bikash Kumar (she/her) is a Master of Public and International Affairs (MPIA) candidate with a concentration in Human Security at the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs (GSPIA), University of Pittsburgh. In addition, she is pursuing two Graduate Certificate programs—Global Studies (Peace, Conflict, and (In)Security) and Advanced Asian Studies—through the University Center for International Studies (UCIS). Aakriti is a dedicated member of the Gender Equality in Public Administration (GEPA) Working Group at the Ford Institute for Human Security. In her previous role, she served as the Program Coordinator for the Pittsburgh Transformations Project at the Center for Ethnic Studies Research (CESR), where she managed community-engaged programming and research initiatives. Aakriti has contributed as a member of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Working Group on Violent Crimes Multicity Assessment at the Matthew B. Ridgway Center for International Security Studies. During her undergraduate years in India, Aakriti took on the role of Program Coordinator at the nonprofit Global Peace Foundation (GPF) India Chapter. In this capacity, she led the Facets of Faith Program, an interfaith initiative aimed at fostering understanding and collaboration.
