Patti Rice

While a native of Johnstown, Patti spent most of her adult life in Birmingham, Alabama. In 1998 she co-founded Hands on Birmingham, a non-profit organization whose purpose is to connect willing volunteers to various needs throughout the greater Birmingham metropolitan area. Patti was recognized as one of Birmingham’s “Top 40 under 40” in 2000. She also received the Community Service Award from the Procter & Gamble Global Alumni Association and the President’s Volunteer Service Award. In 2015, Patti was one of ten women honored with the United Way of Central Alabama DIVAS (Developing Initiatives and Values Among Sisters) Bold Move awards.

Her career spans sales and trade marketing for Procter & Gamble and Kraft Foods, management consulting with Fortune 500 companies as well as small organizations, volunteer and administrative leadership in faith-based organizations, and time at her alma mater. There, she served as Director of the MBA Program at The University of Alabama.

Patti holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from The University of Alabama and an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business. Her two young-adult children are Patti’s greatest pride and joy. She is thrilled to be a part of the Institute of Politics team.
